Interview on NY1: 'American Promise' composer talks America 250 concert with New York Philharmonic

As America gets ready to celebrate its 250th anniversary, New York City will mark the milestone in many ways, including through music.

This Friday at Lincoln Center, the New York Philharmonic will perform "American Promise," a new orchestral work by lifelong New Yorker Karen LeFrak.

LeFrak sat down with Stephanie Simon for more on what to expect at the concert, and her creative process.
